Responsible for managing the largest and most complex industry-related professional service projects.
Apply project management practices and techniques to manage day-to-day operational aspects of projects
Develop project scopes, budgets and schedules
Acquire and manage internal and external resources to produce quality deliverables
Manage large multi-disciplinary teams from across KLJ Practice and Technical areas
Assess and manage risks and plan mitigation
Identify stakeholders and manage expectations
Adhere to regulatory requirements
Responsible for compliance with KLJ safety standards
Review for Quality Control and ensure compliance with company quality standards
Adept at troubleshooting and revising design parameters
Effectively deal with difficult situations and confrontation both internally and externally
Utilizing effective written and oral communication, plan and manage project communications
Develop leads, network and establish client relationships, and determine strategy for future business development pursuits
Adjust to changing requirements and recognize discrepancies in results to ensure successful completion of the project
Oversee the financial aspects of the project including maximizing revenue and profit while minimizing project overruns, and collect client accounts receivable within contracted terms
Collaboration on client management activities
Confer with project team members and clients to prepare, lead, and participate in project proposals and interviews
Supervisory responsibilities for group members and support staff including hiring, promoting, terminations, performance reviews, and training
A four year degree in an industry-related field, applicable experience can substitute for education
Experience level is 10 or more years managing increasingly complex multi-year projects simultaneously
Travel is required, must have a valid driver’s license and be able to operate motorized vehicles
PMP, PgMP, PfMP, or equivalent certification
Previous experience in senior level management with markets, clients and projects in telecommunications, specifically service provider telecommunications
Previous experience managing projects involving fiber to premises planning or data networks and IP networks
Hours and Travel
This position requires the individual work 40 or more hours per week. The typical percentage of time spent out of the office is 50% and out of the office is 50%, however this will vary greatly by project needs.
