Manage all contractual, design, procurement and customer interface activities for engineered systems. Manage multiple system projects to maintain scope, schedule and budget to ensure customer satisfaction and TML profitability
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/FUNCTIONS
Coordinate all systems activities within Teledyne for customer systems orders. Includes, but not limited to interfaces with manufacturing, assembly, purchasing, test, engineering, accounting, sales, marketing and senior staff.
Assume primary contractual responsibility for CEM systems, to include commercial review, standards applicability and financial conformance to corporate requirements and prudent business practices.
Manage contract negotiations with respect to scope change, change orders, schedule and delivery terms.
Ensure that systems projects financial records are accurate (revenue, billings and cost) and that systems shipment dates are realistically maintained.
Maintain a professional relationship with customers.
Review customer purchase orders, contacts, and change orders comparing the customer’s requirements to the referenced TML quotation. Initiate system order entry and approve the system order acknowledgments.
Prepare and maintain a complete project schedule to include all activities necessary for the successful completion of the project.
Participate in technical review meetings of all assigned system projects, whether at Teledyne or customer site, to insure that the final product meets the specification.
Conduct regularly scheduled meetings to review scope, schedule and budgeting of all assigned system projects.
Maintain effective documentation for assigned projects.
Responsible for assisting in the creation of quality system policy and applicable quality system procedures/elements, providing training for supervisory staff in quality system goals, and ensuring that the quality system goals and objectives of the department are met.
Participate in company required activities for policy formulation and/or implementation to ensure high levels of quality, product acceptance and customer satisfaction.
Assist quotations and purchasing as requested with evaluation and costing of customer proposals, particularly in the area of commercial terms and conditions.
Ensure that systems shipments and order closures are timely and accurate in the information system.
Domestic and International travel required.
Other responsibilities as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILL/ABILITY NECESSARY FOR ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF JOB
Ability to work within tight budget and schedule constraints. Customer service skills in stressful circumstances. Knowledge of company procedures, industry products, industry language, and project software. Effective negotiations with customers and presentation of contract agreements and quotations through letters and memos
EDUCATION/FORMAL TRAINING NECESSARY FOR ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF JOB
Bachelors degree with preference for a technical area. Absent an engineering degree, a minimum of 10 years technical experience in related industries. Course or seminar work in project management. PMP desired.
EXPERIENCE NECESSARY FOR ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF JOB
Minimum of 3 years experience in management of complex engineered systems for various applications. Substantial experience in contracts, manufacturing, and problem resolution required. Knowledge of finance and accounting practices desirable.
MATERIAL/EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED
Typical office equipment and computer.
Perform project management and system design in office environment. Work closely with the various company departments/individuals throughout project duration. Site visits, domestic and international, to the client’s facility may be required to discuss the client’s system.
May require the occasional lifting or moving of computers and peripheral equipment. Must be able to work irregular hours when required to meet system/customer deadlines. Physical capability for computer work.
