MTA - Long Island Rail Road, the busiest commuter railroad in North America, is seeking candidates for a Contract Administrator to prepare solicitations, develop contract documents and negotiate, where applicable, contracts to support purchases, maintenance, and related services. Issue invitation for Bid (IFBs) and Request for Proposals (RFPs), and addenda thereto.
In this position the candidate will conduct bidder’s conferences and sites tours, ensure adequate Minority, Women-Owned & Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (MBE/WBE/DBE) participation in procurement cycle.
In this position the individual will participate in Chair proposal evaluation committees and negotiate awards, resolve contractual issues and justify contract award recommendations, including vendor performance, responsibility checks, cost/price analysis, etc.
The Contract Administrator will also be responsible to analyze, negotiate, and justify changes to contracts, and prepare contractual correspondence.
