What you will do:
Successfully complete projects, initiatives and activities as assigned and defined to improve and support business process effectiveness and efficiency benefits, in accordance with project stakeholder expectations including the Executive Sponsor and Project Owner.
Effectively deliver leadership on projects as assigned, including demonstrated encouragement of team cohesion and growth, maintenance of vendor-client relationships, and sustainment of team motivation and commitment to projects.
Maintain continuous learning that enhances the knowledge, skills and abilities required to provide support on assigned project governance and project management activities.
Prepare, maintain and report on project budget to Project Owner, including acting as lead for tracking and accounting for project-related expenditures (capital and NIE).
Ensure continued project alignment with the bank's strategic direction and business plans.
Creating, developing and implementing policies and processes, as it relates to specific project-based initiatives and associated change/deliverables. This includes effective design to achieve desired outcomes.
Continually monitor "best practices" in regard to project management to ensure opportunities to improve our project processes are considered and evaluated.
Provide project management support including defining and implementing project governance as approved through Project Steering Committee; direct lead to project stakeholders/business process owners with project planning, issue tracking, status reporting, and day-to-day management of assigned project team member activities (team size variable depending on project) in view of deliverables.
Ensure client and user impacts are validated throughout the project lifecycle, including delivery of defined benefits.
Full management of projects budgets, including vendor invoice management, budget tracking, and final project delivery within the agreed budget.
Continuous review and action on opportunities to improve project cost savings, reduce rework, and effectively use resources assigned to projects.
What you will have accomplished:
An undergraduate degree in business, commerce, information technology or a related discipline
Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.
Three to five years progressively responsible and diversified project management experience, preferably in the financial industry, in the areas of information services (software/hardware implementation) and business process redesign.
Experience in managing the end-to-end implementation of a third party vendor Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) product or and/or in-house software/product development project through a robust Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Proven effectiveness in managing small to medium level complexity projects, demonstrating the ability to effectively manage risk, shared resource allocations, keeping budget on track through effective change management practices, and effective use of Stakeholders to enable project success.
Experienced with all project management lifecycle phases, including use of project support software, tools, and best practice techniques.
