Hillside Family of Agencies (HFA) is looking for a Senior Project Manager for our Practice & Performance Department. This position is a highly visible role that works with leadership across HFA and also coordinates the HFA strategic planning process and related activities. The Senior Project Manager reports directly to the Chief Practice & Performance Officer. This is a full time position, located in our Rochester, NY office.
The Senior Project Manager provides leadership to ensure operational excellence in the implementation, transition, launch, tracking, and closure of HFA-wide strategic initiatives and other large scale projects while delivering the desired results within agreed timeframe and budget.
This position manages a portfolio of moderate to complex projects via partnership with multidisciplinary teams throughout the system of care to execute and drive performance improvement opportunities.
Develops project proposals or plans to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing projects, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of projects
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Define project scope and specifications; utilize project scheduling tools to develop and implement schedules, and control project plans and changes; proactively deploy resources with the right properties to achieve the project objectives; review progress on a regular or pre-established basis to monitor and assess project status.
Prepares for and manages the HFA strategic planning process, including stakeholder engagement, communication plans, implementation planning, and project management of the portfolio of strategic initiatives.
Develop project budgets to achieve financial objectives; plan expenditures; collect financial information and reports; validate time and expenses to stay within budget and accurately track the work that has been performed.
Establish standardized, visible, accurate project benchmarks and performance metrics to monitor project health and continuously improve project delivery
Provide a mechanism for managing project change requests and conduct ongoing assessment of project needs to ensure that needs have been identified and that solutions have been developed to address these needs.
Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget
Prepares project reports for stakeholders
Serves as an organizational subject matter expert in project management.
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required in business, healthcare, technology or related field
Certification in Project Management (i.e., PMP from the PMI) required
A minimum of 3 - 5 years of Project Management experience is required
Experience leading business/healthcare operations projects is preferred.
Experience in strategic planning and managed care is a plus.
Demonstrated experience/knowledge of healthcare services and programming is preferred
A strong inter-personal skill with ability to work cross-culturally and cross-functionally is required.
Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail is required.
Ability to work proficiently with Microsoft Office including Project, Visio, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
