bcIMC is seeking a permanent full-time Senior Project Portfolio Analyst, (Enterprise PMO) in our Corporate Operations department in Victoria, B.C. Reporting to the Manager, PMO, the Senior Project Portfolio Analyst (Analyst) is responsible for developing business cases and providing analysis in relation to bcIMC’s project portfolio. The Analyst consults with staff at all levels and in all departments of bcIMC and works closely with leaders, IT, and project teams to deliver results.
The Enterprise PMO is growing to support its key role in transforming bcIMC’s operations to support bcIMC’s business strategy and investment model. PMO directs the selection and delivery of projects in alignment with the strategic business plan. The PMO is customer-focused and value-driven, delivering services for project intake, project portfolio management, business transformation, organizational change management, project standards, reporting, monitoring and support.

8 years’ experience in a Business Analyst, Project Management, or similar role
At least 3 years’ experience within the investment industry
At least 3 years’ hands-on experience producing analytical reports or business cases
Demonstrated ability to communicate key insights based on analysis
Knowledge of investment products, investment management processes, performance and risk management concepts
Prior experience with enterprise projects and project management principles
Strong understanding of technology and its role in enabling business
Excellent written and verbal communication of complex information that is accurate, timely, and based on sound judgment; and presenting to audiences with varied levels of knowledge
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft products, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
The ability to manage priorities and deadlines of multiple competing tasks within a team environment
A high working standard and the ability to ensure all work performed is of high quality
The ability to analyze problems and identify solutions, to exercise sound judgment and to have a service-oriented mindset
Superior attention to detail
Strong organizational skills
Post-secondary education in Business, Finance or related discipline
Project Management Professional (PMP)
Claritas Investment Certificate or Canadian Securities Course
Experience working with teams with varied levels of project planning maturity
