The Technology Project Management (TEPM) program at the University of Houston (for more information, please visit: http://www.uh.edu/technology/departments/ilt/graduate/tpm/index_old.php) is seeking applicants for a tenured/tenure-track Assistant/Associate/Full Professor rank. The anticipated start date of this position is September 1, 2018. The person selected for this faculty position will be responsible for developing a comprehensive research program related to his/her particular areas of interest within project/engineering management. This work will include obtaining funding to support research activities from federal, state, and local agencies as well as industry, directing Master’s student research projects, and disseminating research findings through publications and conference presentations. This person will also be responsible for teaching courses in this Master’s level program on topics directly related to the processes outlined in the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) from the Project Management Institute. Additionally, this person will participate in program, department, and college committee assignments and in other activities related to the TEPM program and the rest of the campus.

An earned Ph.D. in Project Management or a Ph.D. in a related discipline, such as Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Management, etc., with a research focus on project/engineering management is required.
Preference will be given to applicants with the following qualifications:
Strong record of publications and research funding in project management related outlets/areas (related to energy, healthcare, transportation/logistics, and/or information technology industries preferred)
Certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute
Intimate knowledge of the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) from the Project Management Institute
Five or more years of industry experience working as a project manager
