The Project Controls System Administrator supports the Central Program Management Office cost control for CNL. We seek to add value for our stakeholders by (i) working with Executives to establish CNL's strategic direction, and documenting with well-defined results-based strategic and financial objectives; (ii) coordinating the preparation of operational plans across the company, so activities are planned, resourced, and budgeted in a consistent manner; (iii) confirming that the operational plans have fully responded to the direction of the Central Program Office; and (iv) driving for continuous improvements to the planning process, while ensuring compliance with regulatory and corporate requirements.
This challenging position will play a key role in supporting the Manager of Change Control and Cost with all activities related to progress and Cost performance reporting and analysis and the Dashboard cost performance data analysis and verification.
Perform Month End process to create Cost Performance Reports
Manage performance measurement database and ensure data integrity
Publish and maintain monthly Earned Value (EV) processing schedule
Provide technical assistance to Project Controls Coordinators (PCCs)
Prepare Month End Dashboards
Cost performance reporting and analysis
Dashboard cost performance data analysis and verification
Develop automations and techniques to speed up processing of Earned value information
Develop and maintain desktop instructions for administering the performance measurement database
Validate Actual Cost and Estimate at Completion
Process and implement the requested Baseline Change Control Proposals from missions in Cobra in coordination with the PMO and Mission Change Control Coordinator
Perform Progress and Performance Analysis to assist PCCs and Project Managers to assess the validity of EV information
Other duties as requested by the Manager and all reasonable requests from line management
Minimum of 4 to 6 years of experience in Cost Control
Minimum of 4 to 6 years of experience in Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS), Performance Measurement
2 years of Planning/Scheduling experience in Project Environment
Well conversant with Productivity Analysis, development and reporting on KPIs for construction and engineering projects
Well conversant with EVMS principles, baseline development, Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) dictionary, cost and schedule performance reporting, change control, variance analysis, corrective action development, basis of estimate, and charge number mapping
Working knowledge and skill in using Deltek Cobra or other cost processor
Advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables, statistical analysis)
Knowledgeable in Database principles. MS Access skill desirable
Strong interpersonal skills to achieve results as part of a team
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to analyse processes and impacts, provide recommendations and develop solutions
Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines and work under pressure
Flexibility to work extended hours
A university degree/college diploma in economics, finance, engineering or business.
Training in Deltek Cobra or other cost processor like Prism, MPM preferred
Formal training in Primavera P6
