General Description: This position is responsible for the processing of transactions including the management of incoming invoices and statements. The ideal candidate will possess an extremely high level of attention to detail, initiative, discretion and independent judgment with a positive attitude and the ability to multi-task.
Perform accounts payable duties including coding and processing invoices in a financial accounting system
Understand types of business expenses and how they apply to a general ledger
Inspect invoices for accuracy, dates of service and know when to self-assess use tax
Reconcile credit card statements
Research vendor statements and work with vendors to reconcile accounts as necessary
Research questions from Managers on invoice coding
Process checks and electronic payments after approval for payment
Manage workflows to meet monthly accounts payable close deadlines
Perform other special projects and duties as assigned
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
Ability to learn new concepts quickly
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail oriented; ability to multi-task; organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Performs other duties as required by displaying team spirit and self-growth, accepting and performing other projects and responsibilities, and requesting other projects and responsibilities.
Education: Associates Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or another related field is desired. Equivalent experience will satisfy.
Experience: Two or more years of relevant work experience including-construction desired
Basic knowledge of bookkeeping practices
Detail oriented, ability to multitask, prioritize projects depending on the demand, work in a fast-paced environment
Computer Skills:: Microsoft Office with an intermediate level knowledge in Excel. Experience with an ERP computer applications is highly desired
Drug Test: Eligible employees must be able to pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test which includes marijuana and alcohol
